“What a relief to come across a program that preserves the dignity of the child, maintains the self control of both the parent and the child and is actually easy to remember when memory is the first thing to go!” Georgia, Lenah Valley
“Gai and Maxine, thank you so much for a brilliant course. James and I were unsure about what to expect, and to be honest, we were a bit doubtful that the Magic 123 system would actually work, but hey – it’s still working!! When we started the course, we were tired of the constant tug of war with our daughter, and we just didn’t know what to do. We felt like we had no idea how to deal with the issues that life throws up at you as a parent. After doing the course with you, we feel so much stronger about our ability to ‘be the parent’ and take control. You gave us the framework and the skills to be parents more confidently, and it’s made a huge difference to the way we approach conflict. Our family life is much calmer now…mostly!!
I think that doing this work with a group of other parents was also really valuable. Hearing their stories and experiences made us realise that we were not ‘failing’ as parents and that we weren’t alone. Many other parents also struggle sometimes.
Mostly, we want to thank you both for being wonderful human beings who have been in our shoes and genuinely care about helping other parents. You made us feel welcomed and relaxed right from the start, and you delivered the course with genuine insight and empathy, and with humour. We learnt a lot and laughed a lot and we couldn’t recommend you more highly.
Thank you!” Cassandra & James, Clifton Beach
“Thank you so much for the training. The course has made me reflect on how I was raised and what I do now. I was shocked at how much it made me review my own behaviours not only with my children, but in the work place and personally. As a Human Resource Coordinator for the whole state, I have benefitted from understanding on a deeper level how to identify with others. It has assisted me bridging the gap when speaking on the phone to another person miles away. It does strengthen relationships and assist in logical thought processing.
I plead you never stop delivering the training, the next generation need to have these skills to succeed.” Michelle, Hobart
